Ji Chang Wook Denies Involvement in Burning Sun Scandal
Ji Chang Wook Agency Denies his Involvement in The Burning Sun
In SBS‘s investigative program, they discovered a picture of Ji Chang Wook and Madam Lin together,
along with an unnamed person.
Madam Lin is connected to the Seungri Scandal, as she is one of the investors in Burning Sun, owning a 20% stake
in the club.
Old posts about Ji Chang Wook have resurfaced, with one anonymous netizen sharing that they saw Ji Chang Wook
at Burning Sun in October 2018, during his vacation from the military.
In response, his label said, "Hello. This is Glorious Entertainment. Our actor has no connections to the woman in
the photo in the broadcast. He took a photo with her because she said she was a fan and requested a photo with him.
But because of the photo, false reports about the actor is being spread, and it has grown to malicious rumors and
sexual harassment, and our actor's character is being seriously defamed. The actor, his family, and his fans are
being hurt. We ask that you keep from writing rumors, and stop distributing the posts. We will be doing our best
to monitor and protect our label actor. Lastly, we thank all the fans who always show him love and support."
SBS clarified their reasons for showing a photo of Ji Chang Wook with Madam Lin during the March 23 broadcast of
“Unanswered Questions.”
A source from SBS’s “Unanswered Questions” stated, “We used photos of Madam Lin with celebrities to explain that she
was acquainted with Korean celebrities. We were not suggesting that Ji Chang Wook was tied to the ‘Burning Sun Gate.'”
Ji Chang Wook is currently serving in the military, and is scheduled to be discharged on April 27, 2019.
