Korina Sanchez not suspended explains absences

ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez on Tuesday explained her absence from TV Patrol.
Speaking to radio dzMM, Sanchez said she had already been scheduled to do a special on typhoon-hit areas for her TV show "Rated K," which will air on Sunday.
"Marami kasing spekulasyon bakit wala ako sa studio last week. Ang spekulasyon hindi naman totoo 'yan. Matagal na kasing naka-schedule ang 'Rated K' na iikot sa iba't-ibang nasalanta ng delubyo. Ito ay trabaho," she said.
Sanchez said her team has gone to Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas and then Bohol.
She said she and her crew were about to go to Tacloban, which is the city worst-hit by super typhoon "Yolanda," but she was prevented from continuing with the trip.
"Pinigilan kami ng kumpanya kasi delikado daw so na-divert kami sa Ormoc. Dalawang araw kami dun," she said.
She said the team then went to Zamboanga and is now on its way to Capiz, Iloilo and Palawan.
She said she will also go to Mindoro to distribute tents to victims.
"Tatapusin ko lang ito, babalik din ako diyan. Inaayos ko lang itong for airing namin sa darating na Sunday," she said.
