Selena Gomez hit the stage for the first time since the kidney procedure at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday night. Debuting a platinum blond hairstyle and wearing slinky lingerie, the 25-year-old was joined by DJ Marshmello and a group of dancers for the performance, which was set at the scene of a car crash.

Despite her bravery, many viewers criticized the 25-year-old for allegedly lip-synching her latest single, “Wolves.”
