According to a report from BroadwayWorld.com, Go bagged the role of the hardened bar girl Gigi, which was originally portrayed by fellow Filipina Isay Alvarez.
Filipino Jonjon Briones, on the other hand, will take on the role of the Engineer.
Eva Noblezada, a 17-year-old native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was given the role of Kim in the West End revival of “Miss Saigon.”
Noblezada, who is reportedly Filipino-American, was discovered by casting director Tara Rubin at the 2013 Jimmy Awards in New York City.
Other members of the “Miss Saigon” cast include Alistair Brammer as Chris, Hugh Maynard as John, and Tamsin Carroll as Ellen, BroadwayWorld.com reported.
Go and five other Filipinos made it to the final round of the Manila auditions of “Miss Saigon” early this year.
They are theater actresses Tanya Manalang and Apple Chiu, singer-actress Frenchescka Farr, Emerald Bañares and Mary Jane Solomon.
Lea Salonga clinched the lead role of Kim, a 17-year-old orphan forced to become a bar girl in war-torn Vietnam, with Monique Wilson alternating.
On Twitter, Salonga congratulated Go, Briones, Noblezada and Brammer.
