Jung Yong Hwa's Camp Denies Delaying Military Enlistment
FNC Denies That Jung Yong Hwa Applied To Grad School To Delay Enlistment.
Yonghwa's admission to Kyung Hee University's graduate school has been officially canceled following controversy around his illegitimate admission. Though he's already apologized, the issue drew more attention as a former employee of FNC Entertainment has backed rumors saying Yonghwa only applied to avoid military enlistment.
The alleged former employee further claimed that many celebrities use this tactic to delay enlistment and that there’s an employee at the agency who attends online lectures on their behalf.
In response to these rumors, FNC Entertainment issued an official statement, saying, “Jung Yong Hwa made the decision to apply to grad school because he was interested in the program and the school encouraged him to apply. It has absolutely nothing to do with delaying military enlistment.
“Jung Yong Hwa postponed his enlistment through lawful procedures in order to continue with his entertainment activities. It’s not true that he applied to grad school to delay enlistment.
“The claims that the former employee made about attending online lectures on their behalf are also false. We will take firm legal action against any false rumors that continue to spread.
“In previous interviews, Jung Yong Hwa clearly expressed his intentions to enlist, so he will faithfully fulfill his military duty when the time comes.”
