Daniel Craig is returning as James Bond

Daniel Craig is back as 007 James Bond.

The British actor confirmed he will return for the fifth time to the famed spy role in the still-untitled 25th Bond film.

Craig, 49, broke the bombshell on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night when asked point blank by host Stephen Colbert: "Daniel Craig, will you return as James Bond?"

"Yes," Craig told Colbert point-blank, when asked if he will return as the secret agent. He said he's known he would reprise the role for "a couple of months" now. "We've been discussing it, we've just been trying to figure things out," he explained, adding, "I always wanted to, I needed a break."

The Bond franchise has hit new critical and popular heights with Craig playing the perfectly dressed spy with a license to kill in the past four films — Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.

Craig took over from Pierce Brosnan starting with 2006’s “Casino Royale,” then returned for “Quantum of Solace” in 2008.

The franchise has made $880 million in worldwide box office with Craig starring in the four films.

Bond 25, as its being called now, is coming to theaters Nov. 8, 2019. The new film will be written by Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, who penned the last four Craig roles.

No director has been announced.

Craig also confirmed that Bond 25 would be his last time in the role. For real.

"I just want to go out on a high note, and I can't wait," he told Colbert.
