Jodi Sta. Maria in a new movie with Joseph Marco and JC de Vera

After her movie with Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion became a huge hit, Jodi Sta. Maria has two new leading men in her new movie “Dear Other Self.”
For the upcoming Star Cinema film, Sta. Maria will be working with Kapamilya actors JC de Vera and Joseph Marco for the first time.
“Nakakatawa, ang lakas makabata. Baka mamaya 12 years old na or sila Nash Aguas na ang ka-partner ko. Nakakatuwa, ‘di ba? I get to work with these great talents,” Sta. Maria said Monday when asked how she feels now that she is being paired with younger actors.
Sta. Maria, however, is confident that their project will work.
“Sabihin na lang natin na bawat proyekto na dumarating sa akin, talagang 'yung buong puso ko nilalagay ko doon and 'yung time and effort. I think important factor siya kaya nagwo-work din 'yung mga tandem and 'yung mga proyekto mismo,” she said.

In the movie, Sta. Maria plays a woman torn “between living the life that she dreamed of versus caring for those people that she loves.”
“Doon sa journey niya, she meets two different men. The other one provides excitement and adventure and the other one naman provides security and stability. Sino ang pipiliin niya?” Sta. Maria explained.
But if posed with the same question in real life, who would she choose?
“Kung ako, siyempre 'yung may excitement and stability. Siyempre hindi naman puwedeng puro excitement and adventure pero wala namang stability and security. Hindi naman puwedeng puro stability and security tapos boring naman. Feeling ko importante din na may balanse,” she said.
Without going into details, Sta. Maria hinted that she has achieved that state of balance in her life at the moment and that she is currently happy.
