Agot Isidro calls Duterte ‘psychopath’

>> Sunday, October 09, 2016

Reacting to a Rappler report where President Rodrigo Duterte dared the European Union and the United States to go ahead and withdraw aid from the Philippines, actress Agot Isidro took to Facebook Friday and posted a strongly worded message to the chief executive.

The president made the statement in reaction to the possible withdrawal of assistance based on statements made by Vice President Leni Robredo. He boldly declared that the country can survive without foreign assistance and added that he will be the first to go hungry and die of hunger but will “never, never compromise” the Filipinos’ integrity.

In response, Agot posted this message:

“Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway.

“Pangalawa, yung bansa kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+ million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower and pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na Lang. wag kang mandamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo.

“Pangatlo, may kilala along psychiatrist. Patingin ka. Hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath.”

The controversial Facebook post had received over 12,000 likes and has been shared 4,307 times as of posting time. Both supporters and critics of the president have shared and posted strong reactions to Agot’s post.

Among those who agreed with Agot’s views is fellow singer-actress Mitch Valdes who commented, “Took the words out of my mouth Agot. Why do I have to suffer just because of your pricked ego?”

Former Apo Hiking Society member Jim Paredes also shared Agot’s post of Agot with this comment, “THis is the kind of advise Duterte should be listening to. Thank you for saying it, Agot!”

On the other side of the fence, Mocha Uson, a known Duterte supporter, responded to Agot’s tirade by posting “RESPECT begets RESPECT” in a meme of a screenshot of the controversial post side by side with another post of Agot in June that shows her in a photo with Vice President Leni Robredo that was captioned, “Tonight’s Agenda. A thanksgiving reunion for newly-elected VP Leni Robredo together with her supporters.”

Earlier that same day, Agot also posted, “If you need violence to enforce your ideas, your ideas are worthless,” an excerpt from HealthyPlace.com that is also in line with her critical views of the president.
