Kylie Jenner slammed for overpriced matte lipstick

The Kardashians are money-minting machines. The famous-five, we are talking about the sisters here, launched their new apps with their new line of products earlier this year. Cashing in on the attention is the youngest of the lot, Kylie Jenner. Ever since the launch of her new label Kylie Cosmetics, it seems that every other week, she is restocking her coveted lip kits or reintroducing new ones. But not all is good in Kylie land.

Last month, vlogger Jeffree Star slammed Kylie's new lip glosses, saying the wand was defective and that he was disappointed in her product. The youngest star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has since replaced the wand and sent out new ones to customers too. All seemed to be good until this week, there was fresh trouble.

Beauty blogger Stephanie Nicole released a video saying Kylie Cosmetics' matte lipsticks (especially the new formula) are ColourPop matte lipsticks with more expensive packaging and there are startling stats to support the claim. She further accusses Kylie of finding a lab that makes a $6 formula, putting her name on it and charging people $29.

We don't know what the truth is but the lab that Kylie uses to create her lip products has been reported to be the same as ColourPop and many makeup companies use the same space for their products.
