ANDREW GOTIANUN, $1 billion
Andrew Gotianun is the founder and chair of Filipino real estate conglomerate Filinvest Development, which was shortlisted as a bidder for the $425 million expansion of the Mactan International Airport in Cebu.
ROBERT COYIUTO, Jr., $1.5 billion
Robert Coyiuto, Jr. chairs insurance firm Prudential Guarantee & Assurance. He also owns PGA Cars, which distributes Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley locally. Coyiuto also has holdings in the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines.
TONY TAN CAKTIONG and family, $1.7 billion
Tony Tan Caktiong owns Jollibee Foods, the largest fastfood chain in the country which has also expanded overseas while acquiring other food outlets. The mogul’s wealth got a boost from Jollibee’s 50-percent gain over the last year.
GEORGE TY and family, $2.3 billion
George Ty (right) was the founder of MetroBank, the county’s second largest lender. Its holding company, GT Capital, also owns stakes in Toyota Motor Philippines and Philippine AXA Life Insurance.GEORGE TY and family, $2.3 billion
DAVID CONSUNJI, $3.3 billion
David Consunji founded construction outfit DMCI, which now gets most of its income from power generation, real estate, infrastructure and coal production. It recently won a $26 million contract to renovate Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.
7 mm John Gokongwei debuts on the Forbes billionaires list this year. He founded conglomerate JG Summit, which has interests in airlines (Cebu Pacific), telecoms, property development, banking, hotels and power generation in the Philippines.

Enrique Razon inherited International Container Terminal Services, which grew into a global port operator with 27 ports in 19 countries under his leadership. His Bloomberry Resorts operates Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila Bay.
ANDREW TAN, $4.7 billion
Tan manages the Alliance Global Group Inc., which is composed of three companies: real estate giant Megaworld Corp., Emperador Distillers Inc., and McDonald’s franchisee Golden Arches Development Corp
LUCIO TAN and family, $6.1 billion
Lucio Tan’s LT group owns Asia Brewery and a stake in Philip Morris-Fortune Tobacco. He also boosted his holding in Philippine National Bank while he is looking to sell his remaining 51 percent stake in Philippine Airlines. Tan owns Hong Kong-based Eton Properties.
HENRY SY and family, $11.4 billion
The richest person in the country is still Henry Sy, who merged his vast property assets under mall operator SM Prime Holdings to create a company with a recent market cap of $9.3 billion.
