CBCP does not approve of GMA-7's My Husband’s Lover

The Catholic Church is scrutinizing GMA-7's new primetime tv series titled My Husband's Lover.
For the first in television, My Husband's Lover introduces us about the love of both men portrayed by Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez.
Tom Rodriguez plays as a husband of Carla Abellana of whom he has kids, but despite being a family man, Tom is still harboring his feelings for his previous relationship played by Deniis Trillo.
According to an article from rappler.com dated today June 25, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Youth (CBCP-ECY) executive secretary Fr. Kunegundo Gargantaang said that the writer should be more sensitive in what kind of theme to write for their shows and how it will affect its viewers especially the young ones.
Fr. Garagantaang said, “Malaking pag-aaral ang dapat na gawin sa mga bagong teleserye tulad ng My Husband’s Lover...
“Na sana maisaalang-alang na nasa isang bansa tayo na mayroong kultura na pinapahalagahan ang usaping moral o mga bagay na saklaw ng moralidad
“Ito ang dapat na isaalang-alang ng mga gumagawa ng teleserye.”
